Barrie South does it again!
The staff at Wild Wing – South Barrie was so excited about country star Toby Keith coming to the city that they actually drew names to see who would have to work the night of the concert.
“We are all big country fans around here, everyone wanted to go to the concert,” said owner Dominic Bianchi “He’s one of the top country stars and I think in the future he’s going to be seen as a true legend.”
Bianchi said he and co-owner Rudy Maset have been following Keith for years. When they heard the icon was holding a concert at Burl’s Creek just north of the city this Friday, they did all they could to promote the big show.
“We had a deal to sell exclusive tickets to the show. For $75 customers would get a ticket to the show and a $25 gift certificate to Wild Wing. It’s been an overwhelming success.”
Bianchi said some tickets are still available.
If you head into Wild Wing today or tomorrow be prepared to listen to some Toby.
“We are going to be playing him non-stop to get us all set for the concert,” Bianchi said. “This is amazing to have such a great country star play so close to home.”
