On Saturday June 20, 2009, members of the Wild Wing corporate office participated in the 4th Anniversary of the Heatwave York 2009 beach volleyball event. The event was held at the Sports Village in Vaughan, Ontario.

Despite the clouds and pouring rain, the Wild Wing team had a great time playing volleyball and supporting The James Fund at SickKids.

Wild Wing Restaurants had set a very aggressive goal of $50,000 for the 2009 campaign but raised just over $25,000.
